At least for the small units of the Ecoboost family, three cylinders have to share a liter. As compensation there is turbo support on the three power levels 63 kW / 85 PS, 74 kW / 100 PS or the 92 kW / 125 PS tested by us. While the smooth-running engine sounds a bit grumpy at start-up and low tempo, it otherwise remains acoustically restrained.

Teda dynamicky má Kuga 1,5 bližšie k Focusu 1,0 92 kW (198 kmh, 10,3s).
In the PowerShift application, it has been detuned from 92 kW to 74 kW but still delivers the same 170 N.m (from a low 1 400 r/min to 4 000 r/min). This has resulted in only a slight drop in performance measured on our test strip as the 100 km/h marker was reached in 11,52 seconds; the manual version we previously tested completed the same feat
