This means that you can make manual adjustments once the AF has finished, without changing to manual mode. The EF 40mm F2.8 STM offers excellent image quality in a tiny, well-made package. For APS-C users it provides a great carry-everywhere complement to a kit zoom, and for full frame shooters it's an excellent general-purpose 'normal' lens. The STM motor means that autofocus is almost completely silent, but it's not super-fast.

The Canon EF-S 24mm f/2.8 STM lens was attached to a Canon EOS 7D Mark II body, which in turn was mounted on a sturdy tripod. Self-timer mode was activated. Slight tonal changes are due to slight changes in natural light during the session. Centre sharpness remains high through from f/2.8 to f/11, with f/16 and f/22 being adversely affected by Re: Recommendation for Canon EF-S 24mm f/2.8 STM. 10-22: most used, for landscapes and real estate. 24mm stm: second most used; even though 24mm is close to 22mm on the previous lens it's of course sharper and faster, and it's so small you can easily take it along as a second lens.
